Anti-pilling/Anti-slip/Snag resistance agent

Anti-pilling agent

QUEENSETER P-100D , QUEENSETER P-350
Queenseter P-100D is an outstanding anti-pilling agent potently capable of producing anti-pilling effects in fiber materials without hardening the hand. By forming a soft but strong resin film, this agent significantly prevents pilling and produces a good, resilient hand.

Appearance : Colorless translucent liquid
Ionicity : Cationic
Main constituent : Specifically modified inorganic compound
pH : 7-8
Solubility : Easily dissolves in water in any ratio

Features

(1) Produces potent wash-fast pilling-prevention in fiber materials.
(2)Produces a good hand with resilience and volume, and without coarseness.
(3)Does not cause yellowing or color alteration and is free of gumming-up trouble due to good mechanical stability.
(4)Requires no heat treatment as it forms a solid resin film on the fiber surface simply through the evaporation of the water content.

Method of use

● Treatment by continuous padding or dipping. The amounts used vary depending on the kind and form of substrate and the degree of effect required, however, the use of 1-3% solution is standard.
Subsequent heat treatment not required.
Preliminary, thorough testing of compatibility required in case of simultaneous use with other agents.

Example of performance testing

Test specimen : polyester/cotton/acrylic blend knit
Test method : JIS L-1076 (ICI) A method, 5 hours

Anti-slip / Snag resistance agent

QUEENSETER SS No.7 , QUEENSETER SS-A
Queenseter SS No.7 is a specifically modified, silica-based agent capable of producing outstanding effects in the prevention of slipping and deterioration in abrasion resistance without hardening the hand.

Appearance : Colorless translucent liquid
Ionicity : Cationic
pH : 4-6
Solubility : Easily dissolves in water in any ratio

Features

(1) Produces superior effects in prevention of slipping and deterioration in abrasion resistance used in small quantities.
(2)Does not cause coarsening of hand.
(3)Good compatibility with other finishing agents.
(4)Good mechanical stability.

Method of use

Queenseter SS No.7  0.5-2%sol.  padding→drying
● The amounts used vary depending of the kind and structure of substrate.
Curing (heat treatment), while not required, will not produce any adverse effects.
Preliminary thorough testing of compatibility required for simultaneous used with other finishing agents.

Abrasion resistance test

Specimen:Cotton corduroy (3800)
Method:Pile removal tested using a JIS L-1075 abrasion tester
Abrasive paper:CC-600-CW
Frequency:500times
Load:40g
Area:25mm
Process:1) Untreated
2) Padded with 2% solution of Queenseter SS No.7 and dried
Results:
The rates of pile retention
1) 4.5%
2) 51.3%
