Staining inhibitor for CDP Reduction

NEOLEVE CDP-3、EMILL NW-1570
When dyeing the CDP (cation-dyeable polyester) side of polyester/CDP union cloth with disperse-type cationic dyestuff, trouble with polyester-staining is often caused, and further staining tends to occur particularly if it is weight-reduced with alkali. It is one of the union fabrics which require extreme caution in processing, as the removal of stains, once absorbed into the fiber, becomes difficult even by Finishing. By adding Neoleve CDP-3 to the dye bath, staining can be potently inhibited, and good polyester-reservation attained. And by using Emill NW-1570 in the Finishing, further stain removal is possible, and so preserving white ground.

Standard usage

●
With polyester-reserve dyeing, the lower the value of in-bath pH, the less staining is caused. The in-bath pH is adjusted to 3-3.5 with a pH-adjusting agent.
The higher the dyeing temperature, the less staining is caused, however, dyeing is carried out at 120°C with the addition of glauber's salt as there is a problem with the CDP strength. While the CDP strength is maintained by the use of glauber's salt, more staining occurs as the decomposition of dyestuff and the hot-water resistance of CDP deteriorate.
The amount of Neoleve CDP-3 use should be adjusted according to the CDP-blended rate and the dye concentration. 0.5-2 % (o.w.f.) (for pale~deep shades) are used generally as the standard.
Finishing, extreme cases of which adversely affect disperse-type cationic dyestuff, should be carried out in a weak alkaline environment.

Appearance and characteristics

Data on anti-staining/stain removal

The above are data on stain prevention and removal when dyeing one side of polyester/CDP union cloth using disperse-type cationic dyestuff.
(1)
Staining on polyester is considerable when dyed without the use of anti-staining agents.
(2)
Once absorbed into the fiber, stains are not easily removed through the usual Finishing.
(3)
By adding Emill NW-1570 during Finishing, most stains, even once absorbed into the fiber, can be removed.
(4)
By adding Neoleve CDP-3 during dyeing, most polyester staining can be inhibited.
(5)
Even with the standard RC, the same degree of whiteness as in(3)above can be obtained.
(6)
By adding Emill NW-1570 during Finishing, even less staining and further whiteness can be obtained.
